How do I know my lock is secure?
It is not possible to tell with the naked eye whether the lock cylinder is of high or low security. Two cylinders can look exactly the same, but offer both high and low security. It is only possible to see the difference if you look at the key itself.
Which lock has a low security level?
You can tell an insecure lock cylinder by the fact that its key has a round head and only 5 pins. The key can be freely copied and the burglar can easily pick the lock.
Which lock is secure?
A lock with a cylinder that has at least 6 pins. You can recognize a secure lock by the trapezoidal appearance of its key with an oval and round hole in it.
