Mobile key makes issuing keys easy and secure
Our locksmith Peter installed 62 JustIn mobile electronic locks from Salto at a dormitory in Frederiksberg.
A few months ago, KEYPARTNER was contacted by a student residence in Frederiksberg. The residence wanted to have new locks installed on all of their student apartments. At the same time, they wanted to optimize security for the students and make it easier for administrative staff to issue keys.
With tenants from all over the world arriving at odd hours of the day, it was often difficult for staff to coordinate the issuance of keys to tenants. Therefore, the dormitory wanted a smart and secure access control solution that could simplify their workflows and make the parties less dependent on each other.
The solution was an access control installation of 62 JustIn Mobile electronic locks from Salto. The solution makes it possible to open the door via a smartphone app and send the user a mobile key, no matter where they are. This means increased flexibility in terms of issuing and receiving keys for the dormitory's administration and its international residents. An ideal solution for a dormitory with international students arriving at all hours of the day and night.
The result, as seen in the picture above, is, in our opinion, excellent, and the dormitory was delighted to welcome new students to their home with new smart locks.
JustIn mobile electronic lock from Salto
Saltos have made the smartphone an essential tool with their JustIN technology. This solution makes it possible to open doors using a smartphone.
The technology is based on BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy), which enables the smartphone and the lock to communicate with each other. Once a phone has been registered, a mobile key can be sent to the device and the user is notified that they have received a key and which doors it can be used on.
The user can then open the door simply by holding their smartphone in front of the lock. This is how the lock communicates with the mobile app.
It is possible to send keys to users regardless of their location. This makes the solution extremely flexible in terms of issuing and receiving access rights.
All data transfers and the mobile key itself are encrypted and protected against cloning. The new technology therefore does not compromise security in any way.
Salto is generally known for producing professional access control systems that focus on user-friendliness, security, and economy.
Mobile access control makes it easy and quick to issue access to employees
The advantages of Smartphone-based access control:
Mobile opening – The door is opened using your smartphone
Send keys – Easy and flexible issuance of mobile keys
Access control – You control who can access and which doors
Keyless daily life – No more fiddling with the key
Top security – Both your home security and data processing are top-notch
Control via app – If you leave home wondering if you have locked the door, you can always check on the app
Where is it smart to install Smartphone-based access control:
It makes good sense to install mobile access control in many businesses or housing associations. Especially in buildings where extra flexibility is needed, mobile access control is an effective solution.
Hotels
Offices
Colleges
Landlords
Other companies
For hotels, this can mean a significant optimization of workflows, as receptionists do not need to be present to issue keys to visitors. Guests can simply be sent a mobile key, giving them access to their hotel room. The same applies to property landlords and housing associations.
It may also be relevant to implement in commercial buildings, where it allows mobile keys to be sent on an ongoing basis and employee time to be recorded.
Should your company or housing association have a similar solution installed?
